Poor Scotland.
Just when you think everyone has taken the p*ss out of them enough for their failure to qualify for Euro 2016, another wave of mockery comes along.
The Republic of Ireland’s 2-0 second leg victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Aviva Stadium meant they earned the right to join England, Northern Ireland and Wales at the Euros in France.
Sadly for Scotland they will be absent from the tournament, having failed to qualify from a tough Group D of Germany, Poland, and of course, Ireland.
The Emerald Isle’s play-off qualification was the perfect opportunity for some cruel folk to scratch at the scab of Scottish pain once more…
