The verdict for James McClean’s nasty foul on Adam Smith at the weekend, and it’s exactly as everyone expected.
Bournemouth’s Smith almost took the full force of a potential leg-breaker from the Derry native, during their 2-1 win against nine-man West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
McClean was handed his marching orders by the referee for the abysmal tackle and on Tuesday it was confirmed that he given a three-match ban by the FA.
Tony Pulis has already vowed to discipline him over the challenge. It is expected that he will be docked two weeks wages, or around £50,000 along with the three-match ban.
