It’s barely been a couple of months since Manchester City confirmed what the world already knew and announced that Pep Guardiola would be taking over from Manuel Pellegrini in the summer.
Since then, pretty much every half-decent player under the sun has been linked with a switch to The Etihad.
In the aftermath of Bayern Munich’s dramatic Champions League last 16 win against Juventus, Jamie Carragher has suggested that one of the stars on show will be joining Guardiola in Manchester.
Instead of pointing to one of Guardiola’s Bayern stars or the impressive Paul Pogba, the former Liverpool defender thinks the Spaniard will move for Alvaro Morata.
I think Morata will be Pep's first signing at Man City!

The 23-year-old’s fantastic run paved the way for Juan Cuadrado to give Juve a 2-0 lead on the night, and he also had a goal wrongly chalked off for offside.
In case you missed it, this run from Morata for Cuadrado's goal is ridiculous… pic.twitter.com/jzHClF7IsM

Although Pep’s Bayern side avoided taking a beating from the Old Lady, Morata’s contribution might well have impressed the former Barca boss.
We just wonder if Carragher has received some inside information…
