It appears the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Harry Redknapp’s calls for Wes Morgan to be capped by England and feature in their Euro 2016 squad was met with howls of laughter and derision, and rightly so.
Morgan was brilliant for Leicester City last season, captaining the team to the Premier League title, and deserved some form of international recognition.
England were also short of central defenders, so the Nottingham native could have been useful as the team attempted to get knocked out on penalties in the quarter-finals.
There was just one problem with Redknapp’s theory – Morgan has played 29-times for Jamaica.

And now Harry’s son Jamie has made a similar gaffe live on Sky Sports’ coverage of Chelsea’s 2-0 won over Southampton.
The former Liverpool midfielder was praising Victor Moses, who has managed to break into Chelsea’s team this season, after spending a number of seasons being shifted around on-loan at various Premier League clubs.
“It’s great to see young English talent get an opportunity,” Redknapp said.
While it is good to see young English players get their chance in the Premier League, Moses is 25-years-old, which isn’t young by the standards of a football career, and he’s Nigerian.
Moses was born in Lagos and moved to London when he was 11-years-old. He has also played 24-times for Nigeria, represented the country at the 2014 World Cup and was part of the team that won the African Nations Cup in 2013.
Needless to say, social media picked up on Redknapp’s gaffe.
Excellent punditry from Jamie Redknapp referring to 25 year old Victor Moses, who has 24 caps for Nigeria as a top young English talent 😂

Dear Jamie Redknapp, Victor Moses won the AFCON 2013 as a Nigerian player not an English lad
