Jamie Vardy is enjoying the season of his life, and his and Leicester City’s fairytale season could soon be coming to a cinema near you.

It has been confirmed by Vardy that the tale of him swapping non-league football for the summit of the Premier league is going to be made into a movie.

And the former Stocksbridge Park Steels hitman has identified who he wants to be portrayed by on the silver screen.

The 29-year-old has told reporters that he feels former Wimbledon footballer hardman Vinnie Jones would be the perfect man to capture his likeness.

“At the minute, the film does look like it’s probably going to go ahead.

“They must be mad to be honest with you, but want to do it. We’ll have to wait and see, but I’d like Vinnie Jones.”

Okay Jamie.

The scourge of Gazza is getting on a bit now, but the X-men star could be a major attraction in a film that could hit our cinema screens in the near future.

The striker was rumoured to have met Hollywood scriptwriter Adrian Butchart, the man behind the very successful ‘Goal’ trilogy of football films,  after the recent win over Liverpool.
