You can’t accuse Jermain Defoe of a lack of ambition (well, so long as you ignore his decision to move to Sunderland).
The England international striker has put out an advertisement for an assistant who can help him “create a global brand for the Jermain Defoe name”, with the chosen candidate set to earn up to £60,000 a year.
The advert calls for someone who can manage the 32-year-old’s calendar and ensure the former Spurs striker doesn’t have to worry about sorting gardeners, deciding where to go on family outings, or even remembering family members’ birthdays.
They pretty much have to dress the footballer too – the job description includes selecting and organising his wardrobe “with specific designers for special events [and] appearances”.
At least they won’t have to worry about Defoe’s custard supplies – that seems to have been taken care of for some time.
Wow. Just got a surprise delivery from #ambrosia custard. Check out my personalised tin ! pic.twitter.com/cAyG95F8d5
