Joe Rogan apologises to Jose Aldo after saying this following his 13-second UFC knock-out (Video)

It came across wrong!

Joe Rogan is a man well used to apologies.

But it still takes balls to man up and say he’s sorry when in the wrong.

The UFC commentator was caught in the middle of another controversy last night in his post fight interview with Jose Aldo.

The Brazilian had just lost out to Conor McGregor in a featherweight title fight that lasted just 13 seconds.

Afterwards Rogan got a chance to speak to the champion, and according to the translator, after Rogan asked Aldo about the fight, his answered was not properly communicated.

Aldo was alleged to have said “I think that we need the rematch and that it certainly wasn’t a fight”.

However many native Portuguese speakers felt that Aldo’s answers were not translated properly, and now the commentator has said sorry to the former featherweight champion.

According to various people online, the actual translation of the opening answer was closer to:

“I believe that after this fight we have to go for a rematch, it’s not done yet. He got me with a good shot and was able to finish the fight.”

It appears this evening that someone has had a quiet word with the podcaster and he’s tweeted to the ex-champ this evening.

mikey

Nice touch.

Anyone fancy a job as a translator?
