Thanks to Gareth Bale’s bullet header, Wales are finally on the cusp of their first major football tournament since 1958.
Their historic victory in Cyprus was greeted by jubilant scenes amongst traveling Welsh supporters, one of which being comedian Elis James.
Earlier in the day, Elis had been asked via Twitter to take part in a radio interview with BBC Radio 4 talk about Wales leap-frogging England in the latest FIFA rankings – but had this brutally honest reply…
This is the greatest conversation about sport ever. Well done, @elisjames. pic.twitter.com/4PIxB6SZK7

And following the game, Elis took to Twitter again, looking like he’d achieved exactly what he’d intended.
Of course. That's why I love sport. I don't know this man. Cyprus 0 Wales 1 pic.twitter.com/xCg32U91KP
