Jurgen Klopp has barely had the time to enjoy his first pint on Merseyside, yet the transfer speculation has started.
Surprisingly, it doesn’t appear that Klopp is plotting a raid on former club Borussia Dortmund. In fact, he’s not even looking at any of the Bundesliga clubs.
Instead, Klopp is being linked with a couple of Serie A players. The Liverpool Echo states that the Italian press believe that the German’s number one target is Sassuolo starlet Domenico Berardi.
The 21-year-old has scored over forty goal in 108 appearances and is highly regarded in Italy.
The Echo also mentions that Klopp is reportedly eyeing a move for Napoli’s Jorginho, with a £22.2m deal rumoured to be on the cards as soon as January for the 23-year-old.
Hang in there Liverpool fans, more reports linking you with Marco Reus et al can’t be too far away.
