Jurgen Klopp set for Borussia Dortmund reunion as Europa League quarter-final draw is made

Kevin Beirne

The Europa League remains Liverpool’s best chance of Champions League qualification.

The Reds overcame Premier League rivals Manchester United in the previous round, and their route to the semi-finals is a bit clearer now that the Europa League quarter-final draw has been made.

Liverpool fans were hoping to avoid drawing Borussia Dortmund, the former club of current Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp but they will face the German club in the last eight.

Meanwhile Athletic Club Bilbao, whose controversial late winner against Valencia in the last round infuriated Gary Neville so much he was sent to the stands, will take on another Spanish side, Sevilla.

The first game of the ties will be played on April 7, with the second leg taking place a week later on April 14.
