Ahead of Liverpool’s game against Tottenham, there was plenty of interest in Jurgen Klopp’s press conference.
As might have been expected, there was a big turn out from the media.

One of the main themes was that Klopp wants his Liverpool side to play without fear.
“At the end, it’s only football and all these guys can play good football. That’s the reason they are here,” Klopp explained.
Searching for a phrase that was perhaps slightly lost in translation, Klopp stated that he hoped his new players would “open their chests” in the game against Spurs over the weekend.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss also emphasised the importance of being well organised and how that will give his side the freedom to be more attacking.
“I saw it in the week, and if this is different, then maybe we can be very well organised and not just think about offensive things. I know that we have not until now had enough goals, but you have to feel stability and that can make you free for offensive play and creativity.”
Klopp suggested that issues like this were more mental, and that changing this aspect of the team’s play may take time.
“Some things you can change like this. Mentality, readiness, you can change but to get really tuned as a team, that takes time. I’m not interested in the problems we could have on Saturday. After this game we will know more.”
The world will get its first glimpse of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool when they travel to London for Saturday’s early kick-off at White Hart Lane.
