After being pictured enjoying a Friday night beer, Jurgen Klopp was up bright and early on Saturday morning.
With most of his first team squad away on international duty, the newly appointed Liverpool manager used his first weekend on Merseyside to run the rule over some of the club’s youngsters.
The German was seen watching Liverpool’s U18s in action against Stoke City from a balcony overlooking the pitch.

Responding to reports that Liverpool approached Klopp before Brendan Rodgers had been dismissed, the German’s agent firmly denied this.
Speaking to German punlication, Bild, Marc Kosicke confirmed that the approach was only made after Rodgers had been relieved of his duties.
“The first call from Liverpool came after the dismissal as coach of Rodgers”, Kosicke said.
Adding to this, he claimed that Liverpool’s offer was not the first that his client received.
“Before Liverpool there were naturally quite a few enquiries. But Jurgen always asked me not to take it any further.”
