Brilliant.
Karim Benzema assured Real Madrid’s place in the Champions League final with a wonderful move just before half-time of Wednesday’s game at the Calderon.
Atletico raced into a 2-0 lead early on the night, with Saul and Antoine Griezmann putting the home side just one goal before Real on aggregate.
The momentum was with Diego Simone’s side, and an amazing comeback appeared to be on the cards, until Benzema made a decisive impact.
The French striker collected the ball near the corner flag, and looked to have nowhere to go.
Benzema turned away from three Atletico defenders with fantastic close control and raced along the byline before cutting it back for Toni Kroos.
The German midfielder’s shot was saved, but Isco scored the rebound and the tie was over. Madrid are in another Champions League final after winning the tie 4-2 on aggregate.
That skill from Benzema! 👌💪🙌 pic.twitter.com/BCRUfZ4yOB

And from another angle.
If Messi did what Benzema just did, "Cules" would be talking about it for the next 50 years. https://t.co/P8dYKhFqrw

The most indecent thing Benzema has done without the help of Franck Ribery pic.twitter.com/kiXyLHY0py
