Roy Keane is often characterised as some sort of angry, malevolent thug, which is partly true.
But let’s not forget that he was a superb footballer with wonderful technique. You don’t become a mainstay in Man United’s midfield for over a decade (winning 17 major trophies in the process) without the necessary skills.
To prove that he’s still got a bit of the old magic, nine years after retiring from the game, Keano had a go at that most modern of footballing phenomenons – the crossbar challenge.
Not only did he casually place his effort bang on the money, but the ball obediently rolled back to his feet.
