Kevin Pietersen hilariously trolls England with a cheeky bid to become mascot

Get him on the field...

Ben Kenyon

Kevin Pietersen will do anything to get back into the England set up. Literally anything.

His chances of playing for England are pretty slim to none after being dropped in 2014 by the ECB before the Caribbean tour.

A simmering spat with Andrew Strauss, who is now ECB director, hasn’t helped his chances of playing again.

But that won’t stop the South African-born Surrey star from trying to wheedle his way into the England set up any way he can.

The 35-year-old was out shopping in Waitrose when he spotted this on his way in. The crafty devil made a brilliant Twitter bid to become England’s mascot.

We can just picture it now…

It went down pretty well to be fair…

Well, mostly…
