Kimbo Slice’s son fought in London this weekend and it did not last long

A glancing shot put his opponent down

That meant a lot to Kevin Ferguson Jr.

The eldest son of the late cult hero, Kimbo Slice, has earned the first victory of his professional mixed martial arts career and he didn’t waste any time in doing so.

On the main card of Bellator 179 at Wembley Arena, ‘Baby Slice’ needed less than four minutes to put opponent D.J. Griffin away.

Ferguson Jr. made his Bellator debut last November but it didn’t go to plan and he was submitted in the second round.

He came out on Friday night with a point to prove and pushed the action from the off, with shades of his father’s famous tenacity in the cage.

A clipping left hook from the 25-year-old put Griffin to his back and Ferguson Jr. was relentless in his pursuit of the finish.

Breathless ground and pound gave referee Dan Miragliotta no option but to step in and call a halt to proceedings.

Ferguson Jr. was originally being considered for last year’s Bellator card in London after his father, a UFC and Bellator veteran, passed away tragically at the age of 42.

His professional debut eventually took place in California but Ferguson Jr. got the chance to perform in front of his English fans this weekend.

And he didn’t disappoint.
