It’s a very real worry for non-Liverpool fans that simply won’t go away – Jurgen Klopp is extremely difficult to dislike.
The only hope is that his natural charm and kindly disposition will weather with time. Perhaps over the weeks and months to come we’ll see a more moody, cynical side.
Until then, rival supporters are just going to have to get used to Klopp being an entertaining, loveable bloke – even when things aren’t going for his side.
Liverpool played very well in the first half of their game against Rubin Kazan on Thursday night, but a goal alluded them. Nevertheless, it was clear that the manager had asked them to shoot on sight.
Emre Can took the advice to heart and tried an effort from the edge of the area. Unfortunately it was horribly scuffed and trickled very very wide and out of play.
