Kolo Toure assures us that he’s delighted to be at his new club.
Not that any of us would know given how thoroughly miserable he looks in the first official images of him in Celtic colours.
After fourteen years in England with Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool, the defender has moved north of the border to join forces with Brendan Rodgers.
As much as he’d like us to believe us that it’s an exciting new chapter in his career, the look on his face is worthy of Aaron Lennon’s first Everton photoshoot.
In fact, Toure and Lennon are by no means the only two footballers who could look a whole lot happier after moving clubs.
For crying out loud, Kolo, lighten up…

Even in his first press conference it looks like there’s a gun being pointed at his head.

As confirmed by his new manager, Kolo Toure won’t feature for Celtic during their Champions League qualifier against Astana on Wednesday. Instead, Rodgers suggested that he will use the weekend friendly with Barcelona to test the 35-year-old’s fitness levels.
“I’m probably more looking towards the weekend for some game time in the friendly against Barcelona and then assess where he is at before the following week.”
