There’s a fair amount of hype surrounding Kylian Mbappe at the moment, and rightly so.
Having chipped in with a couple of goals as AS Monaco ended Manchester City’s Champions League campaign, the 18-year-old is now featuring heavily in the transfer gossip columns with several Premier League clubs said to be keen to bring him to England.
He’s also been rewarded with a call up to the French senior side ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg on Saturday night and next week’s friendly against Spain.
As appears to be the done thing in France – we all remember Steven Fletcher’s time with Marseille – Mbappe was asked to sing as part of his initiation to his national team.
With the other squad members gathered around him at their Clairefontaine headquarters, Mbappe, with a water bottle acting as his microphone, belts out a few words.
While we don’t have a clue what he’s singing, the reaction he gets from his new international colleagues suggests they were impressed by what they heard.

While this doesn’t exactly prove that he’s got the voice of an angel, it’s clear that Mbappe outshone a couple of his fellow debutants, including Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso…

…and Newcastle’s Florian Thauvin (currently on loan at Marseille).
