The comments of Chris Eubank Jr about ring girls have not gone down at all well with Lily Allen.
The British super-middleweight took to Twitter on Monday evening to share a video of the post-fight interview which followed his stunning knockout victory over Avni Yildirim at the weekend.
A crunching combination stopped Yildirim in the third round and sent Eubank Jr safely into the World Boxing Super Series semi-finals.
After the fight, a video of the fighter’s father, legendary boxer Chris Eubank, standing in the way of the ring girls who tend to pose behind the victor for the in-ring interviews did the rounds on social media.

Eubank Jr shared the video with the joke warning: “To all ring girls, do not photobomb me as my dad has a very particular set of skills. He will look for you, he will find you and he will pie you.” The line is a reference to the famous piece of dialogue from Liam Neeson’s character in the film Taken.
Well one person who wasn’t laughing at the 28-year-old’s attempt at humour was Lily Allen, who promptly responded with a savage put-down.

The pair have since gone back-and-forth, with the boxer claiming that he was just trying to enjoy some “banter” and Allen maintaining that it was an example of “misogyny.”
