The silly season is well and truly upon us.
We’d usually lament the return of the ridiculously hyperbolic transfer circus at this time of year. It’s around mid-November onwards that we start to get a sharp escalation in winter rumours, and it can begin to grate extremely quickly.
That said, the depressing current state of world affairs means that we’re happy to welcome any distraction from impending Armageddon. And so, it is with unusual relief and only slight bafflement that we see Luke Shaw linked with a move to Anfield.
Yes that’s right, according to various newspaper reports, including the Star and the Express (we’re saying nowt), the curvaceous left-back is in the throes of a severe ‘bust-up’ with Jose Mourinho, that could spell curtains for the England man.
Liverpool are sniffing around, with Jurgen Klopp keen to rejuvenate the 21-year-old’s career. For his part, Mourinho is certainly not averse to selling players to rival clubs as was evident in him flogging Mata to United in his Chelsea days.
Whether it’s remotely legit or utter bollocks, Liverpool fans certainly seem keen on the idea. Although they’d probably prefer Donald Trump to Alberto Moreno these days – if nothing else he’s got better hair…

Funny thing is I could actually see Mourinho selling Luke Shaw to us. He's a weird cunt like that & he'd see it as giving us his 'cast offs'

If Luke Shaw becomes available I'd love to sign him, all he needs to do is get his hunger back. Klopp could do the boy wonders
