Liverpool avoided a repeat of last season’s horror show at Bournemouth.
Jürgen Klopp’s men had led 2-0 and 3-1 in the fixture last December, only to lose 4-3 after a spirited late fightback from The Cherries.
12 months on, and goals from Philippe Coutinho, Dejan Lovren and Mo Salah had Liverpool coasting by half-time. After the break, Roberto Firmino added another to make absolutely sure of the points.
While there was lots for those Liverpool fans watching the game on Sky Sports to be pleased about, plenty of them made it known that they were far from happy with Martin Tyler’s commentary on the game.
Tyler, whose voice has been synonymous with Sky’s coverage of the Premier League for over 25 years, has sometimes been accused by some Liverpool fans of favouring their opponents. This was again the case on Sunday afternoon, with many supporters claiming he sounded ‘disappointed’ when commentating on the Reds’ goals.
Partly because of this, Tyler’s name was trending on Twitter for most of the game…
The only disappointment about Coutinho’s goal was the disappointment in Martin Tyler's voice. You'd swear he just lost a bet.

Martin Tyler willing Bournemouth to get the next goal there. Disgrace how he's allowed to do the commentary. Not one bit impartial

Martin Tyler is desperate for a Bournemouth comeback, since going 2-0 up he has talked up a comeback, you could hear the disappointment in his voice when Defoe hit the post, now talking about the sevilla collapse, talk about what's happened in this game, not what U want to happen

You can tell Liverpool are winning when Martin Tyler has the voice of someone who has found out that their car has been clamped

No complaints from Bournemouth about our second which clearly didn't go out of play but Martin Tyler sounds like he's ready to lodge a formal complaint to the FA to get it ruled.

How can Sky keep giving Martin Tyler LFC games? He’s on the verge of tears here at half time.
