It was a cruel way for Liverpool to exit the FA Cup.
But Angelo Ogbonna’s late extra time winner saw West Ham beat the Reds for first time ever in the competition (and the third time this season) to make it through to the next round.
The tie was delicately balanced at 1-1 going into extra time until Ogbonna scored at the death to break Liverpool hearts.
Plenty of chances went begging for Jurgen Klopp’s men – but they just couldn’t kill the tie off.
On Twitter £32m man Christian Benteke was bearing the brunt of much of the ire…
Liverpool could've bought Leicester's full team and had £10 million left over with the money they spent on Christian Bentekke. #LFC #LCFC

Christian Benteke doesn't want your charity in front of goal. No. He's going to earn it himself.

To be fair on Benteke, he practices his one on one's against Migs… He probably scores every time 😂😂

The thing about Benteke is that every time I watch him he looks like someone who's never played football before.
