Liverpool fans have expressed their delight at the news that Mario Balotelli is set to return to Anfield.
Having signed for the club following the World Cup in the summer of 2014, the prolific Italian striker quickly established himself as a fans’ favourite on Merseyside with his impressive haul of four goals in 24 appearances and a tireless work ethic.
Loaned back to AC Milan during last season, the Italian giants have (for reasons unknown) opted not to make the deal a permanent one, meaning Balotelli is free to return to Liverpool.
Having suffered a disappointing end to the season after their defeat at the hands of Sevilla in the Europa League final, the news of Balotelli’s return will come as a significant boost to Liverpool and their manager Jurgen Klopp as he shapes the team ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
Understandably, AC Milan fans were disappointed to learn that Balotelli, who has notched up one goal in his last 20 appeaarances, had played what appears to be his final game for the club.

But in Liverpool, supporters were looking ahead to the former Manchester City striker spearheading their new look attack…
Balotelli wont come good, no manager can change the way he plays and as a result he will never be good enough.

It was clear from those Reds fans that tweeted on the matter that Balotelli’s arrival was already the best piece of business their club would do this summer…
