Rumours that Liverpool were set to land Alexandre Pato appear to have been quashed before they’ve even got off the ground.
Earlier reports from South America appeared to have indicated that the former AC Milan player, currently playing for Brazilian club Corinthians, was set for a move to Anfield.

But any hopes of seeing Pato make the move to the Premier League have been dashed by the comments of Corinthians president, Roberto de Andrade.
Speaking to Globo Esporte, he explained that there had been no contact with Liverpool.
“Corinthians have received nothing. Nothing concrete has arrived.”
