Good news Liverpool fans.
Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho and Divock Origi are all set to be included in the squad for the team’s FA Cup fourth round replay at West Ham.
Jurgen Klopp offered a update on the trio’s injury status at his pre-match press conference, but said it’s unlikely they will all start the game.
“I hope to have Divock and Philippe Coutinho in the squad tomorrow,” Klopp said.
“It is complicated because extra time is possible. They can’t all start together because then we have to make three changes.”Coutinho last played for Liverpool in their League Cup semi-final win over Stoke City on January 5, while Origi was also out for a month, suffering from a hamstring injury.
Sturridge hasn’t played since Bill Shankly was manager December 5 when he featured for an hour during Liverpool’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
Klopp revealed today that the managerial team had planned to give Sturridge a run out last Saturday, only for Liverpool to be forced into two early changes.
“Daniel was fit enough to be on the bench on Saturday and was impressive on Friday in training.”
“We had hoped he would play for 15 minutes but it didn’t happen. We would have liked to, but the game had a different story with a few early changes.”
Unless he gets injured in the meantime, Sturridge could feature against West Ham tomorrow night.
