Liverpool have signed 16-year-old wonderkid Bobby Adekanye from under the noses of Barcelona, Ajax and PSV Eindhoven.
The young starlet was available on a free after being embroiled in a dispute between Barcelona and FIFA over the recruitment of under-age players to their academy.
He was banned from taking part in competitive games so Barca loaned him out to PSV. They wanted him to stay there until he was eligible to play for them again.
However the free agent has decided to plump for Anfield, which comes as a blow to the Catalan club, as well as PSV and Ajax who were also keen on signing the player.
Adekanye is a skilful left winger who has been compared to Arjen Robben. Born in Nigeria, he was brought up in Holland, and has opted to represent the Oranje.
