‘Transforming fans into customers’ the Fenway Sports Group site proudly proclaimed.
It’s probably not the best time to be saying this after jacking up ticket prices at Anfield to £1,000 – with some tickets to be sold at an eye-watering £77.
With Reds supporters already planning a walk-out over the price hike, this was the final straw for some – and there was some furious internet reaction from Kopites.
But it seems like the rabid (and righteous) reaction from Reds fans about this sensational PR own goal has had Fenway bosses scrambling to put it right.
