Loris Karius is, according to the majority of those that know anything about his performance in a preseason friendly against Wigan Athletic at the weekend, the worst goalkeeper ever seen.
The German, signed by Liverpool from Mainz a few weeks back, was widely mocked for nearly costing his side a completely meaningless goal at the DW Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Taking his eye off a rolled pass in his direction, the 23-year-old let the ball trickle underneath his studs, and had to hurl himself in front of a Wigan forward to deny a certain goal for the Championship side.

Within minutes, footage of his error was doing the rounds on Twitter – prompting a barrage of piss-takery from viewers far and wide.
But young Loris has got thick skin.
Hours later, he reflected on his outing for his new club (in which he kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win) and was even able to see the funny side – acknowledging that he ‘stole the show’ in the match at Wigan.
2-0 win today, but I think I stole the show… 😄🙈 I'll try to make it less exciting next time. #preseason #LK1 @LFC pic.twitter.com/dwlRisGrgj

Good on you, Loris… although Liverpool supporters will hope that you’ve got your ‘show-stealing’ antics out of the way by the time the serious stuff kicks off in a few weeks from now.
