Eddie Hearn was widely booed following the incredible fight between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday night.
Joshua stopped the Ukrainian in the 11th round of their heavyweight bout at Wembley stadium, securing a victory over the dominant fighter in the division over the past decade.
The Londoner’s victory in his 19th professional bout cements his status as the sport’s most exciting prospect, while the bout at Wembley saw the realisation of a prediction by his promoter back in 2014.
Following his victory over Matt Legg on the undercard of George Groves’ rematch with Carl Froch, Hearn said “in two or three years’ time” Joshua would be fighting in the main event at the national stadium.
Remember to always have a plan!A huge thank you to everyone who has supported @anthonyfjoshua on this journey 🇬🇧 #JoshuaKlitchsko @SkySports pic.twitter.com/6R4sbV9jM6

Hearn was right, and he has helped guide Joshua to this point in his career.
However, he seemed to be a pantomime villain for most of the 90,000 in attendance on Saturday night.
After Klitschko spoke to the crowd, and received a warm reception for his brilliant effort in the ring, the Sky Sports interviewer asked to have a word with Hearn.
But Eddie didn’t speak for long, as a chorus of boos rang out around the stadium.

A lot of people on Twitter seemed to enjoy the reaction of the crowd to the Matchroom promoter.
Eddie Hearn normally loves a chat. Think 90,000 boos made him a bit sheepish there.

While Hearn himself was able to laugh about it.
