There are many who have still not forgiven Luis Suarez for racially abusing Patrice Evra in 2011.
The Barcelona striker, then a Liverpool player, received an eight-match ban for his comments towards the former Manchester United captain.
Suarez’s refusal to issue a direct apology to Evra, and his continued protestations of innocence since the incident, have not sat well with a number of people.
And now the Uruguayan once again finds himself at the centre of racism allegations, this time concerning Espanyol midfielder Papakouli Diop.

Diop was sent off in Espanyol’s 4-1 Copa Del Rey defeat to their local rivals after reacting to provocation from Suarez, the nature of which has not been established.
At the time of writing, Barcelona and Luis Suarez are yet to issue an official response to the allegations.
