To an extent, we saw this one coming
For the past six months, Malcom, the exciting Brazilian winger, has looked certain to leave Bordeaux. The 21-year-old’s form with the Ligue 1 side had seen him linked with big money moves to Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United, Everton, Ful pretty much every single Premier League club going.
But while England might have appeared to be his next destination, word from France on Monday afternoon suggested that’s not the case at all.
A tweet from Bordeaux confirmed that Malcom is likely to leave the club for AS Roma in the coming days after the Italian club reached an agreement with them over a fee.

A tweet from Roma soon followed.

All that remains is for the Serie A club to agree personal terms with Malcom, who must also complete a medical before the deal is confirmed.
Roma are thought to have first made contact with Bordeaux late last week, with their transfer budget bolstered by the sale of goalkeeper Alisson to Liverpool.
Malcom has been in France since leaving Corinthians in 2016, scoring 23 times in 96 appearances for Bordeaux.
He was recently linked with a move to Everton, although the Goodison Park club are now thought to have turned their attention to his countryman, Richarlison, who they are hoping to sign from Watford.
