With the football season well under way, it seems there’s plenty of kit unveiling still to be done.
After Paris Saint-Germain were given the full fancy Nike advert treatment for their new kit launch last week, now Manchester City have shown off their latest third kit.
New signing Kevin De Bruyne can be seen modelling the new strip. With all the recent construction work at the Etihad, you’d be forgiven for thinking that this was inspired by the high-vis jackets donned by the folk that have helped increased City’s stadium capacity.
In actual fact, the choice of colour is a reference to the club’s history – specifically their 1999 Division 2 play-off final victory over Gillingham.
“As Manchester City grows in global stature and vies for major titles, the club’s heritage remains integral to its identity,” a statement on the club’s website reads.

Available to buy on October 1, City supporters seem to be quite impressed with the latest offering from Nike.
