Iker Casillas made history in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Porto remain on course to progress from the group stages after comprehensively beating Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-0.
It was a relatively straightforward night for shot-stopper Casillas with the Israeli minnows only managing a few chances to find the target. In truth, they didn’t really pose any threat to the Spaniard’s goal.
Although Casillas didn’t have a particularly remarkable evening, it was still a special night for the former Real Madrid man. His clean sheet marked his 51st in the tournament which saw him eclipse the previous record in the Champions League which was held by former Manchester United number one Edwin van der Sar.
