Luke Shaw is one of the good ones.
The Manchester United left-back has written a touching letter to an Irish couple to celebrate the birth of their son, less than two years after they lost their baby daughter.
Steve de Korte is a massive United fan.
He and his fiancée Sarah lost their little girl Ava just weeks after she was born in 2015. Steve’s brother Will had written to United to tell them their story, and Steve was touched to receive a letter of support from Louis van Gaal at a very difficult time.
Their little son Luke was born earlier this year.

They passed on the happy news to United and when Luke Shaw found out about his little namesake he wrote this letter…

It reads…
“Dear Sarah and Steve.
“I just wanted to drop you a line to congratulate you both on the birth of Luke Robert.
“The last year or so has obviously been very difficult for you both after the sad passing of Ava.
“I have no doubt that you will ensure Ava’s memory will live on and you will always remember the short time you spent together with your wonderful daughter.
“A big welcome to Luke, who I am sure has given you lots of strength and focus at this time.
“I am pleased to see that he is already wearing the colours of his favourite team.”
