Whoever coined the phrase “never meet your heroes” obviously didn’t know much about Marc Albrighton.
The Leicester City winger delighted one lucky fan – who is believed to be from Argentina – during the club’s preseason tour of the US this week, not only taking the time to pose for a photograph with the starstruck individual, but also presenting him with his very own signed shirt.
Albrighton joined Leicester from Aston Villa two years ago, playing his part in the Foxes’ historic title triumph last season.
With a Premier League winners medal to his name, Albrighton is now one of world football’s most instantly recognisable faces. As this photo goes to show, when you win major footballing honours, it’s impossible *not* to be noticed when out and about.

Leicester kick off the defence of their Premier League title away at newly-promoted Hull on August 13. They play their first home game of the season a week later when last season’s runners up, Arsenal, pay a visit to the King Power Stadium.
But before all that, there’s the chance for the Leicester players to add more winners medals to their collections when they face FA Cup winners Manchester United on Sunday in the Community Shield.
We’re sure that Albrighton’s Argentine fan will be keeping a keen eye on how his idol gets on…
