You have to feel sorry for Mario Balotelli. He has really had a rough time of it at Anfield.
Brendan Rodgers has never really hid his displeasure at signing the Italian, while the former City striker’s form hasn’t exactly endeared him to the Kop faithful.
But then again, he isn’t really doing himself any favours by showing support for Raheem Sterling after the Englishman scored just three minutes into his first game for Balotelli’s former club.

Predictably, some Liverpool fans are less than pleased with Balotelli’s decision to support his former teammate — particularly as some are seeing the “best answer” quip as an attack against the fans themselves.
@FinallyMario @sterling31 Ok time for you to go mate.

@FinallyMario @sterling31 You should do the same Mario. Too bad nobody wants you.

While some fans of other teams were happy to bask in the schadenfreude.
@FinallyMario Even Liverpool players hate Liverpool fans

To his credit, Super Mario has tried to calm down the angry mob somewhat.
