It’s easy to make fun of Robbie Savage, especially if you’re someone with the CV of Martin O’Neill.
The Irish manager appeared on BT Sport’s Fletch and Sav programme on Saturday morning with his former player Robbie Savage.
The pair spent time together at Leicester City a decade and a half ago, and it seems that O’Neill never got carried away with the quality of players at his disposal.
During the introduction of O’Neill, Savage reminded viewers of a time that the Northern Irishman claimed that the only thing Savage was missing to make him a top footballer was talent.
O’Neill then jokes how he instructed the former Derby captain to “pass the ball to somebody who can play”.
