Michael Owen, like a lot of people, saw his pre-season Premier League predictions under serious threat approaching the halfway stage.
The pundit predicted that Leicester City would be relegated, while suggesting Chelsea would retain the title.

Owen also tipped Bournemouth, Leicester and Watford to be relegated.
However, four months on, Chelsea are just above the relegation zone, and Leicester are top of the league, while neither Bournemouth or Watford are currently in the bottom three.
The former England striker has been mocked for his predictions, but come out fighting.
Are my pre season predictions that far off what everyone else thought? Silly me, you all knew Leicester would be top and Chelsea 15th.

‘We all thought it would happen’ is hardly the best defence for someone whose job is to give his insight into the game
