Michael Owen’s reaction to Barcelona’s late winner is not what you’d expect from a former Real Madrid man

He's normally so loyal to his former clubs...

What a game. What. A. Game.

After being battered in Paris three weeks ago, the vast majority of sane people didn’t give Barcelona much chance of overturning the four goal deficit given to them by PSG.

Undeterred, Barca went three up on the night early in the second half to breathe life into the tie.

But when Edinson Cavani bagged an all important away goal a few minutes later, it appeared that PSG had killed off the unlikeliest of comebacks.

They hadn’t.

Three late, late goals were enough to send Barca through, in a quite incredible climax to one of the finest Champions League ties ever.

In the BT Sport Studio, Sergi Roberto’s tie-settling strike brought scenes of jubilation from the four men covering it.

Obviously, Gary Lineker was delighted for his former club. Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard also put their old club rivalries aside to celebrate the goal together.

And then there was Michael Owen…

Instead of just jumping up and down on the spot for a few seconds like the other three men, a delighted Owen took off on a celebratory lap of the BT Sport Studio.

As exciting as it was, not the kind of reaction you’d expect from a former Real Madrid striker.
