The Real Salt Lake midfielder fell victim to a heinous attack by the goalpost when attempting to head the ball off the goalline during his team’s MLS game against Sporting Kansas City.
At least the woodwork also kept the ball out as the Englishman was sprawled on the turf, and Real went on to win the game in injury time.
