MMA fighter punches opponent during face-off at press conference

Wild, wild scenes

A press conference held in Russia turned into a wild brawl as two fighters lost their cool ahead of the Hardcore Fighting Championship.

Umar Tesiev and Sergey Kiselev were both part of the event to promote the second season of Hardcore FC. What was supposed to be a relatively relaxed face-off, in fact turned into an almighty punch-up.

Initially it looked as if would be a face-off with no drama but when Tesiev was pushed by Kiselev, the latter then added fuel to the fire by swinging and trying to punch his opponent – however Tesiev was able to drop and miss the shot.

Tesiev then retaliated by opting for a single-leg takedown of the fellow Russian, bringing him to the floor.

It was at this point when the security finally stepped in to separate the two. Save it for the ring, lads.

One of the reasons why Hardcore FC has become so popular is that events such as these are a frequent occurrence – with those present practically encouraging the face-offs to become aggressive.

The company broadcasting the event also proceeded to show multiple replays of the brawl between the two, whereas if the conference had been held in either the US or the UK, this would have been forbidden. But thankfully there’s a clip of it on Twitter. So you can watch it as many times as you want from multiple angles.
