Khabib Nurmagomedov sounds more afraid of his father than any potential opponent in the UFC.
Nurmagomedov is dreading returning home because he anticipates a beatdown from his dad for his role in the melee which marred UFC 229.
‘The Eagle’ had just defended his lightweight title against Conor McGregor by forcing the Irishman to submit to a neck crank in the fourth round of what was largely agreed to be the biggest fight in UFC history.
That’s when it all kicked off as Nurmagomedov jumped out of the Octagon to confront McGregor’s team and members of the Russian’s camp rushed the cage to attack ‘The Notorious’.
As of Sunday night, the Nevada State Athletic Commission had yet to pay Nurmagomedov and the undefeated Dagestani could now face a lengthy suspension, a hefty fine and the potential loss of his 155lbs belt.

He’s also going to be punished by his father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, who was not present in Las Vegas after being denied a visa.
“I will be very hard on this. I warned him. For me, discipline comes first,” Abdulmanap told RenTV.
“You do whatever you want in the Octagon but outside this is the boarder of civilians where there are children, women and strangers.
“Over the Octagon should be a peaceful existence.”
Nurmagomedov didn’t hang about to answer many questions at his post-fight press conference but he did repeatedly apologise to the NSAC and warned that McGregor’s style of fight-hyping should not be followed by young, up-and-coming competitors.
Nurmagomedov said: “This is a respectful sport. This is not trash-talking. This is respectful. I’ve told you before that I want to change this game. I don’t want people talking shit about opponents, talking shit about fathers or religion. You cannot talk about religion or nations. Guys, you cannot talk about this stuff and, for me, this is very important.
“I know my father is going to smash me when I go home. Nevada, sorry!”
