Michael Page must be on the UFC’s radar.
The London welterweight fought for the tenth time on Friday night and maintained his reputation for first-round finishes.
One of the most exciting fighters to emerge from the European circuit in years, Page earned the ninth first-round stoppage of his career as he moved to 10-0 against Jeremie Holloway in the main card opener of Bellator 153.
‘MVP’ needed just 135 seconds to get his night’s work over and done with as he drew the tap from Holloway in extraordinary circumstances.
Page (black and red trunks) secured a plum clinch on Holloway and used his momentum to throw Holloway to his back against the fence.
Holloway then looked for a heel hook on Page’s right leg but the Brit countered absolutely brilliantly.
Page, out of nowhere, cinched up a modified reverse ankle lock on Holloway before appearing to transition into a toehold which forced Holloway to furiously tap while ‘MVP’ stared intently into his eyes.
Michael ‘Venom’ Page is a scary dude!
