Nate Diaz was already promised a bumper payday just for taking the fight against Conor McGregor, but he’s just got that bit richer.
The Stockton fighter’s disclosed payout of $500,000 was tasty enough on its own, but his shock victory has added an extra $100,000 to his purse.
While there was no win bonus specified, Diaz will take home $50,000 after being awarded performance of the night, an honour he shared with Miesha Tate after ‘Cupcake’ defeated favourite Holly Holm earlier in the evening.
And the UFC confirmed both Diaz and McGregor would earn a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus, Fox News reports.
No wonder Diaz is buying a yacht.
