Imagine how good Manchester City could be if Sergio Aguero didn’t seem to get injured so much of the time.
The striker, who scored five of City’s six goals against Newcastle at the weekend, picked up a reported hamstring strain during Argentina’s World Cup qualifier against Ecuador.
It is the 10th injury Aguero has picked up since the start of the 2012/13 season, and is expected to rule him out of City’s next three Premier League games at the very least.
With Wilfried Bony and Kelechi Iheanacho back from injury, and midfielder Kevin de Bruyne scoring freely, manager Manuel Pellegrini will hope the league leaders can get by without their top scorer.
City take on Bournemouth in their next league outing, before a tough double-header against Sevilla and Manchester United.
