Newcastle United fans have found the perfect way to protest against the club’s owner Mike Ashley – by making their own version of the home kit.
Supporters have been unhappy with Ashley’s administration for quite some time, but it appears that the club’s decision to add blue to the iconic black and white stripes was the final straw for some.
The sponsor-free, fan-made shirt – priced at around £30 – sold out within just two hours of its announcement, as supporters look to hurt the profits of the Ashley-owned Sports Direct.
