Neymar makes his opinion about Barcelona’s ghost goal very clear on Instagram

He wasn't very subtle.

Neymar was clearly a frustrated man after Sunday’s result.

Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw with Real Betis on Sunday after a frenetic end to the game that could have seen them go temporarily top of the table and put pressure on rivals Real Madrid and Sevilla.

However the Catalan side missed out due to a series of bizarre refereeing decisions.

Betis struck first on 73 minutes with a scrappy goal from a corner and then Barca almost replied immediately when Alex Vidal surged into the box and drilled a cross across the goal.

Neymar should have been on the end of it, but was clearly manhandled to the ground by a Betis defender.

Then Betis’s Cristiano Piccini diverted the pass towards goal-ward before defender Aissi Mandi managed to scramble it away – after it had crossed the line by a metre.

However the ref didn’t blow for Neymar’s foul and then the linesman ruled the ball hadn’t crossed the line.

After the match Neymar took to Instagram to share his views on the decision.

It’s not too hard to decipher what the Brazil international made of the decision on the goal.

Then Neymar made his view clear on the decision to not award him a penalty.

Luis Suarez was able to pull one back on 90 minutes and salvage a point for the Catalan giants. However the result leaves Barcelona four points adrift of league leaders Real Madrid.

Barca’s manager Luis Enrique also made his displeasure at the match officials’ performance after the match. Albeit in the somewhat more measured medium of suggesting the Spanish game could benefit from goal-line technology.

After the match he said:

“I’ve seen the photo but the referees need help, whether it’s with technology and in cases when it ends up hurting us or benefiting us”.
