If you looked up the phrase ‘impact sub’ in the dictionary, there would be a picture of Ryan Fraser.
Don’t worry, we’re not going to judge you for needing the sort of dictionary that has pictures in it. We all need some respite from the harsh, harsh world of words from time to time.
“But who’s Ryan Fraser?” we hear you ask, because anyone who uses a picture-book dictionary also asks questions out loud while reading.
We’re glad you asked. Ryan Fraser is the man who changed the game at the Vitality Stadium yesterday, winning a penalty, scoring a goal and laying on a late equaliser for Steve Cook before Nathan Aké’s injury time winner gave Bournemouth an unlikely come-from-behind victory over Liverpool.

Normally when something like this happens, we discover that a surprising amount of fantasy football managers brought the player in question into their team just this week.
Sometimes it’s even worse, and they even triple captained the guy, as was the case when Gini Wijnaldum scored four times for Newcastle United against Norwich City last season.
That wasn’t the case with Fraser, though, because – and we can’t stress this enough – none of you had heard of him before this weekend.

Not only did no one have Fraser as an unlikely captain for their fantasy league team this week, but no one even had him on the bench.
That’s right, he was in the lesser-spotted ‘selected by 0.0% of managers’ club – meaning not a single person benefited from his 15 points this week.
We’re looking forward to hundreds of you rushing to bring him into the team for Bournemouth’s next fixture against Burnley, only for him to pick up no goals or assists before being dragged off for Jordon Ibe after 55 minutes.
