Northern Ireland have qualified for their first major tournament since 1986, and one man in particular seemed delighted by the result.
Rory McIlroy’s Manchester United fandom is well-known, but the world-class golfer was cheering on his country’s footballers against Greece.
The man from County Down was spotted in the stands as Michael O’Neill’s team beat Greece to book their place at Euro 2016 – their first major tournament in McIlroy’s lifetime.
He took his seat alongside boxer Carl Frampton at Windsor Park, and it looks like he’ll be supporting his compatriots in France next summer following the 3-1 win.
